SS-FFAP is a dedicated column for free fatty acid analysis. By chemically bonding the liquid phase to the capillary tube, the maximum operating temperature can be raised to 250 °C. This allows analysis of free fatty acids from C2 to C24 without methyl derivatization. By chemically bonding the liquid phase, even if a large amount of water or organic solvent is injected, the column performance is hardly affected.

By strengthening the cross-linking structure, the operating temperature range (20 to 250/260 °C) can be widened.
